We are empty, looking for some kind of relief that will never satisfy.
In our world we look at mirrors
That do not show the people we have become,
Empty shells, misguided by hatred and envy,
That cut throats just to see themselves overcome.
We are lost souls that sucked their own
Life out, believing in misconception
And preachers of unholy gods.
This is what you created, blinded by ghosts
That whispered that this was our world
We are empty, looking for some kind of relief that will never satisfy.
This is the only truth there is to tell,
We’ve become slaves of this false identity,
That slowly starts to dwell,
Disrupting every inch of the heritage of humanity.
This is the reality to confront,
There is no way out,
Just to see it all
Burn to the ground
Brutality Will Prevail
Brutality will prevail
Throughout these days
This is what you created, blinded by ghosts
That whispered that this was our world
And the ones we have harmed shall color the red carpet for us.

Symphonic stuff in metal doesn’t make its way into my collection aside from a couple of early Cradle albums. The orch here though just ads to how huge this band sounds. It makes elements in the songs more immersive. There are plenty of breaks from orchestration where its in deathcore/slamming brutality mode. While not ignorant, the songs never play with time or get mathy making it accessible and memorable. Came out 2015? Impressed. Mitch Mitcherson
